Welcome to my website, where you can find out a little more about me, what I love to play and how to book me as your guitarist for any occassion or event. I am a fingerstyle guitarist and singer in the style of Chet Atkins / Jerry Reed, and will happily sing/play across Yorkshire, or further for the of cost fuel and a good beer!.

I am the perfect choice for wedding ceremonies, relaxed wedding drinks receptions. Also my style and music works incredibly well in any intimate setting that requires or is enhanced with some good background music. My approach is to enhance an event or evening, not to overide or overpower. Loud enough to enjoy the music, but still allows you to chat and enjoy time with those around you.
With a great tone and relaxed style, my repertoire covers Blues / Jazz / Swing / Country & Folk classics.
About Me
I am an acoustic wedding and events guitarist, able to cover most of Yorkshire and beyond.
Born in London, influenced in the 1960s/70s by singer/songwriters Michael Chapman and John Martyn who I often watched perform at Les Cousins in Soho.
Work took over, taking me overseas to live and travel during the 80s and 90s with little time for music, so sadly for a number of years I didn't pick a guitar up.

When back in the UK firstly in Cumbria then SW Scotland and now West Yorkshire, only in the 21st century did I discover the original American fingerpickers Merle Travis, Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, Buster B Jones that are now my main source of inspiration.
​
I combine these styles and mix in some more modern pieces to create a great tone and relaxed style of Blues /Country/ Jazz/ Swing and Folk, performing locally in Yorkshire.
​
Now retired I have been able to refocus and spend my time doing what I love and being able to share this music with others. Specialising in live acoustic wedding and event music, you will often find me in an intimate bar/pub or restaurant most weekends.
